We learn from those around us, we work on teams with other electricians, other tradespeople on job sites, the clients, we train apprentices.  At every turn, we are interacting with others. There are many occasions where we go off on our own and finish a task without the accompaniment of other people, but by and large, there is a lot of personal interaction. We work well with others, that make us great electricians.

Meaningful Work

Helping to create something—an office building, a home—is a source of pride. Being proud to create something real and tangible.  There is a basic satisfaction that comes from taking a tool in hand, and seeing a direct effect of your actions in the world.

A Job that Involves Using Our Own Judgment

What we do can never be reduced to just following a set of procedures, the physical circumstances in which we do our job varies too much for that. It requires improvisation and judgment; we have to be adaptable.

There is a lot of intellectual challenges required, but there is also a significant physical aspect to the job. We are physically fit in order to be effective.

Being Good With Our Hands

Being an electrician requires a LOT of manual dexterity and a lot of hand-eye coordination. Our job is a  very tactile one. We use our hands a LOT.

Who You Are:

You are a Journeyman Electrician or registered electrical apprentice.
You have good communication, as well as interpersonal skills
You have excellent service and troubleshooting skills
You possess basic computer skills
You are able to work independently, manage time effectively, and work with multiple deadlines
You have a valid Driver’s License with clean abstract and no restrictions
You are an electrician that pays closer attention to details
You take pride in doing your best
You are humble, dependable and honest
You have observation skills and empathy
You are friendly & self-motivated
You have good manners and a great attitude
Are able to consistently maintain high-quality standards
Able to provide your own tools
Able to provide own transportation to and from work
