Limited Lifetime Warranty

We grant to you a lifetime warranty on our electricians’ workmanship from the date of practical completion of all works supplied by us in accordance with this warranty.

WireChief Electric Ltd.  warrants that all workmanship provided by our employees be done in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, be free from defects, including the installation of parts and repairs, for the normal life of the installation, and will repair any installation that we find to be defective free of charge, subject to the limitations detailed below. This warranty extends through the normal life of the installation.

The benefits given to you by this warranty are in addition to any other rights and remedies you may have under any law in relation to the goods or services to which this warranty relates.

Lifetime warranty is void for builders, general contractors, home renovation contractors &, commercial customers. 

1 year of workmanship warranty if offered to builders, general contractors, home renovation contractors & commercial customers. The same limitations listed below apply.

Limited Parts Warranty:

WireChief Electric Ltd. warrants that all parts provided and installed by our employees be free of defects for 365 days (unless otherwise noted on the invoice) and that we will provide a replacement part free of charge or repair damaged or defective parts free of charge, at our sole discretion, subject to the limitations detailed below.

Parts that become defective within one year (365 days) of installation are covered by full warranty including the cost of the installation of the new part.

Limitations

The maximum amount payable by us under this warranty is limited to the price paid by you for the works excluding GST.

This warranty as far as may be permitted by law excludes liability for any consequential loss or claims for damage to persons or property resulting either directly or indirectly from any failure or fault of the works.

Surge Protectors:

WireChief Electric Ltd. guarantees the proper installation of surge protectors under this warranty. WireChief Electric does not guarantee, ensure or warranty against lightning or electrical surges except to the extent that WireChief Electric Ltd. will provide a new surge protector in the event one should fail under the Limited Parts Warranty. Claims for components damaged by lightning or electrical surges are covered by the manufactures warranty only and not covered under this warranty.

This warranty shall not apply unless the works have been paid for in full.

What is not covered by this warranty?

This warranty does not cover the following:

  • Consumables including light globes, fluorescent tubes, batteries, fuses or filters
  • Normal maintenance costs
  • Product recalls
  • Damage caused by Negligent, accidental or deliberate misuse
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications
  • Liquid penetration
  • Electrical interferences, power surges, voltage fluctuations or lightening
  • Vermin, pests or insects
  • Rust or corrosion
  • Abnormal or excessive usage
  • Service calls where no defect in the system covered under this warranty is found.
  • System installation or set-ups
  • Adjustments of user controls
  • Systems purchased or installed outside of Canada 

 

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: property damages, malfunction or failure of the System, or personal injury caused by or resulting from: (a) accident, abuse, negligence or misuse; (b) operating the System in a corrosive or wet environment containing chlorine, fluorine or any other hazardous chemicals; (c) installation, alteration, repair or service by anyone other than a licensed contractor or other than pursuant to the manufacturer’s instructions; (d) improper matching of System components; (e) improper sizing of the System; (f) improper or deferred maintenance contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions; (g) physical abuse to or misuse of the System (including failure to perform any maintenance as described in the Operation Manual, or any System damaged by excessive physical or electrical stress); (h) Systems that have had a serial number or any part thereof altered, defaced or removed; (i) System used in any manner contrary  of the Operation Manual; (j) freight damage; or (k) damage caused by force majeure or other factors such as power surge damage caused by lightning and fluctuations in or interruptions of electrical power.

 

Failure to pay voids any and all warranty coverage offered by WireChief Electric Ltd

Making a claim

You must notify us in writing of any claim under this warranty by email at service@wirechiefelectric.com or mail: 170-422 Richards St., Vancouver, BC Canada V6B2Z4.

You must bear your own expenses incurred by you in making a claim under this warranty.

Save your invoice as proof of service. Proof of service is required for the warranties to be valid.
