2021 HAVAN Awards for Housing Excellence Winner:

• Best Custom Home: $ 1 Million – Under $1.5 Million

• Best New Kitchen: Under $50,000

• Best Non-Certified High-Performance Home: New or Renovated

• Excellence in Building Science Innovation in Residential Construction

Designed by Nick Bray Architecture, this house was built as a case study über-environmentally-friendly ‘home for the future. It was designed to European standards to last at least 100 years while making an architectural statement on a narrow East Van lot considered to be unbuildable.

This high-performance and innovative home will be an ultra- sustainable, Certified Passive House that will become an important part of Vancouver Architecture. The development is part of the City of Vancouver / Passive House Canada’s Near Zero project.
