Older homes often include:

✔ Lathe-and-plaster walls

We have extensive experience upgrading and rewiring heritage homes while minimizing disruption and preserving architectural integrity.

Electrical modernization in older homes requires planning, patience, and respect for the structure not just technical knowledge.

We also work on new construction and high-performance homes, including passive and energy-efficient builds.

These projects demand:

✔ Advanced load planning
✔ Mechanical coordination
✔ Energy-efficient system integration
✔ Energy-efficient system integration
✔ Collaboration with builders and consultants

Modern homes require modern electrical strategy from EV readiness to smart controls and optimized panel design.

“It is with great confidence that I put forward this recommendation of WireChief Electric and its owner, Octavio Sosa and it is Octavio’s integrity and commitment to his clients that I am recommending.

As the general contractor, Heldsinger General Contracting, has worked on renovation, alteration and re-wiring projects with WireChief Electric as our Electrical Sub-Contractor.

WireChief Electric’s demonstrates a high level of quality in their work. Their crew members are knowledgeable and they adhere to the project’s requirements, schedules and specifications. Should a problem arise, they work to address and resolve whatever issues are in need of rectifying.

Octavio displayed professionalism, reliability, and competency during the entire duration of the jobs. The onsite crew was a pleasure to work with as they demonstrated hard work and positive attitude

It’s without a doubt that we recommend WireChief Electric and look forward to working with them on future projects”.

WireChief did a great job hooking up various pieces of restaurant equipment for our pizza shop. The quote they gave us was accurate. They worked quickly and efficiently in completing the project. Friendly and knowledgeable electricians made working with them a pleasure.

The Za House Restaurant – Kitsilano,Vancouver

I am an interior designer and was having issues with a contractor – One call to Octavio and he came to my rescue – completing a few small jobs for me. I will use him again on future projects and highly recommend him to anyone needing electrical services.

Lianna – evoLve designs

On a Friday night late, we lost power (and subsequently hot water) to part of our building. Saturday morning I was not able to get my usual electrician in. After calling four recommended by BBB and having none return my messages, I came upon Wirechief.  They returned my call with in 5 minutes. They arrived when said they would. Being a woman I appreciated not being talked down to, rather learning something new about the building I look after, and having the rest of my day to myself. They also provided me with an extra part for emergencies down the line.

Heather,  Heatherlea Apartments – Kitsilano, Vancouver

I first called WireChief when my contractor’s electrician quoted a job ~ through the roof. Octavio gave me a reasonable quote and had excellent customer service. He did the job quoted and did such an excellent job that I have used him repeatedly over 2 years at my personal home and at our income properties. He makes time when I need him and is always professional, on time and accountable.
